I went on a big sock binge when I first learned how to do them. I probably knit 5 pairs up.... and this pair I'm working on now has sat for about a month now because I'm bored with it. It doesn't help that I don't like the yarn I'm using to knit them up, either.

And the mitts are adorable! I'm still learning how to spin on my drop spindle so I'm hoping I can get a little better at it enough to have good yarn to knit something up like that!

Yes, it is true you can get sick of socks for a little while. And even knitting can get boring. But it never goes away. And it comes back with a renewed robustness. Everyone needs a vacation from the everyday things.

We don't just look for you to be knitting.

Wow - you are so fast to have that knit up already! They are terrific and cheerful! I'm itching to start my Holiday Project yarn - got it all spun up and washed. Now to find the perfect pattern... I'm getting a bit sick of socks too.

I've been on a binge with this pattern, too! I started with a pair for my 15 yro daughter using a hand painted back/neon green yarn and got addicted to the pattern. My next two pairs were done in Noro Kureyon, and now I'm making a pair using up some odds and ends for a fun mismatched stripy pattern. I was thinking of making some Calorimetry's to match and give as gifts.
