A sock, some yarn, a blanket, OH MY!
Yes, I got one sock done in the month of July! How about that? And I cast on for the second sock! Which is very wise. It lessens the second sock syndrome I think.
I also plyed the purple. Here is a nice close up shot. Kinda makes it look like there is a lot there doesn't it?
But in reality....
It's about 80 yards. There was only 2 oz!
Oh and I did say that I haven't shown my scrap sock yarn granny square blanket in a while haven't I? Here you go
That is a mouthful to say!
I got some more to add to it thanks to my sock knitting frenzy of late
I so love this blanket. I want it a little bigger. Thats all.

Wow! You have been busy. I love the granny square quilt. So glad that Suki is better.
You have perfected spinning. I am impressed with the yarn that you have spun!

Wow, that blanket is fantastic! That's a great idea for leftovers. But are you grouping it by color on the outer edges, or just throwing in whatever you have?

Whoa, your blanket is AWEsome! I love it!

LOVE the blanket! The tease is some sock yarn at www.littleknits.com it is Ranco sock yarn for $7 a skein! and one skein makes a pair of socks. It is pretty and I am sure they have some sort of factory but still looks hand dyed. I got two skeins and I am thinking of making a shawl out of it.

Like the sock... like the blanket... Love the wee little purple skein! Perhaps it will go as an accent with your holiday fiber? Drum carder= best buy of the year.

The blanket is great! Do you take sock yarn remnant donations? :-)

Gracious! That's a lotta busy!!! Very inspiring, though. Maybe I'll actually spin something tonight. I keep saying I'm going to...

this is the same thing I do with leftover yarn!
We have granny square blankets on all our beds here!

I love the sock! Opal yarns scare me - they seem like they are only for those who really know how to put a sock together and that would totally not be me at the moment!
Is the Granny blanket knit or crocheted? I'm thinking it would be a great project for leftover yarn but am unsure I can learn how to crochet...

That is the best granny square blanket I think I've ever seen! LOVE the dye day pics...especially the witches brew and what came out of it. Looks like loads of fun (what WAS in those little cups??)

LUV the sock...and the blankie...it is beautiful...is there any color pattern you're following or are you just picking up yarn till it's finished then picking up another etc? I need to start another blanket for my grandaughter..I promised, think it will have to wait for fall...how was little geeks birthday?

Love the blanket. I lack patience with crochet to learn it well enough. I like the log cabin blanket for using up scraps for knitting, though!

The blanket looks great--really unique! Let's get together sometime and knit.
