Gee I hope I have enough...
Well I have one sock done
I am not going to weave in the ends of this one yet. I may need to start over.....
Why?
The above picture shows all that I have left. I am not sure if that is a good perspective. How about me holding it?
Hmmm........here is another view
I really don't know if I have enough of the grey for a matching sock. So I thought why not do the opposite on the second sock and use the grey for the cuff, heel and toe? Will I have enough?
I haven't started the second one yet. I decided to think about it and work on my mystery yarn shawl instead. I am on a second ball of yarn and it is getting bigger! No picture until it is done.
So do you think I will have enough to finish the second sock?
Stay tuned...

To quote Piglet: "Oh, d-d-dear, dear!" I predict second sock syndrome coming right up... at least it would if you were me! :-) Hope you can work it out.

do you have a scale? weigh the sock and then the yarn and see if you have enough!

I think an opposite sock would be really cute - I think weighing the sock you already knit will at least let you know if you have enough grams.

I was going to suggest that you weight it, too. Although, I don't know how you can figure out exact amounts with the cuff and hell and all in a different yarn. Good luck!

I agree with gleek: weigh it. This method has relieved many worries in the past for me. I think a brown sock with grey trimmings would look great with this one. :)

Dude... the things I almost said about the pic with you and the yarn in your hand... just sayin!
Totally agree with the weighing it comments. I just learned that trick a couple months ago to confirm how many skeins of yarn I used for patterns.

it's a beautiful sock...i love the way the grey is shaded light to dark to light...very nice...don't you know any one legged people...hehehe i guess that wasn't very nice...sorry if i offended anyone... and i agree, make it the opposite way, you can be like Punky Brewster used to be...hehe

Do the weigh thing.
The "oppo-sock" is a good idea!

I think you should just send it to me. You know, so you don't have to look at it anymore. Just sayin'. ;-)

A scale? Novel idea! Maybe this problem is why I especially like short socks!

You might as well just go for it. What do you have to lose other than time?

Drat! That is such a lovely sock...it seems a shame to think it won't have a mate. :(
