New Fiber Hobbie!

Wow! It looks a little crazy, I know, but it was FUN! My guild meeting was 2 Sunday's ago and Anna (a guild member) showed us how to felt. It wasnt' needle felting, it was lots of water with a "tad" of dish soap and lots of agitation, and skwishin. Oh the possiblilities.....
So some of you have little faith in me! By some of your comments it seems that you already have me frogging the lace weight mohair even before I have knit anything with it!
You know me too well.
Oh, I started another sweater!

More details this week. Stay tuned.

So what will you do with your felted square? It looks like a great hot pad or maybe the front of a little purse. Oh my! I want to start another sweater, but will try to finish at least one of the pair of socks I'm working on, and the hat which should be quick, ...and that ribbon sweater mom wants... then it is all about me, me ME!

I like your square. Isn't felting loose fiber fun?! I've taught felting (ribbon balls) to small groups of my daughter's friends- the kids had a blast!

That's the good part about knitting as a hobby: you can do whatever the heck you want! Felt it, knit it,frog it before it is even in existence...it's alllllll good!

can give you even more ideas of things to make/do! :) I have it saved so that when I eventually get round to getting loads of hair as my other calls it, I can make some really pretty bags...

Oh MY! Another sweater! (gasp) No seriously I cannot wait to see what it looks like especially if is the one you showed me pics of last week!
I love your crazy skwishin felt art. I think you should frame it. :)

The felt is very cool. How long did it take to make it? How big is it?

Isn't felting fun?! So far I've only water felted a pair of slippers and needle felted an ugly old maid's head using my mohair as hair. The boys say she looks like Chewbaca (sp?). But it's a lot of fun.
Hey my sheep have been shorn. You guys are all welcome to come down, see the naked sheep and take a look at the wool off the sheep before it is all sold.

Oh the fun you can have with yarn. So many ways to play and experiment. This is my first time here, and what do I see? you won all that wonderfulness from Sweet Georgia, and now it's not available until she decides to start again.
Envious, but glad for you!
