Avoidance issues....

Why oh why can't I finish my shawl? WHY? WHY WHY?

Because it's boring and stupid. The shawl that is. I am bored to DEATH with it.

So what have I been doing in the mean time?

Specs:
Pattern: Wisp of Mist Wrist Warmers (say that 3 times fast...) from Compassionate Knitting by Tara Jon Manning
Needles: US 5 DPNS
Yarn: Hand dyed by me

Love this pattern! You can crank these out in no time. In fact I am on my 3rd pair! You can knit these and put them away for that last minute gift. God I sound like a dork.

PS: Thank you so much for the comments on my socks! Wow! You guys are great!

yes, but if you just finish the shawl, it'll be done and you'll never have to work on it again.

(see how i turned that around?)

Those are beautiful! I have got to knit up something like that for myself...it suddenly became winter around here....

Boring and stupid? Meh...put it away. Who wants to do things that are boring and stupid. Wisp of Mist is way cooler. Do that. Knitting is supposed to be fun or challenging...not boring and stupid. Or so I am told!

Ohhh fabulous dye job! And I do love those warmers!!

Yes, Gleek does have a point that I'd have to agree with. And those wrist warmers are gorgeous. You've got some talent there with the dyes. Guess I'm going to have try that somtime myself!

The wristlets are so cute! and they really look great in your yarns!

The arm socks are great, but is that the shawl underneath them in the picture? That amazing glorious pink knitting? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? It's pink! It's chevron-y! It's wonderful!

I love the layer effect, sweater, throw (shawl?), wristwarmers! They are nice, I like the lace at the top.

Honey, frog the shawl and use the yarn on that fair isle project. If you don't enjoy what you're knitting why bother? Unless you're into self-torture.

Hallooo fellow dork! No, seriously, though, those are wonderful wrist warmers and if they call to you louder than the shawl does, you have to listen to them.

cute, but don't your fingers get cold...hehehe

Gorgeous wrist-warmers! I find that sometimes we need to ignore the bigger projects and get the smaller ones done first. Maybe that is why I need to get my UFO sweater out and work on that collar and sleeves?

I love the wristlets. Very dainty, but with some strong female, umph. Is that even a word? Now I am officially the dork. :)

If that shawl is boring you, a break is definitely in order. Plus, those wristlets are gorgeous!

ohhhhh I do so like those wrist warmers, much nicer than the fetching pattern I think :)

The green one... I just say... the green one... I just love them, but don't even think about it... ??? I don't try to say that 3 times fast... But in my eyes it look like a pattern with lot of us...
And the shawl... Just frog it!!! Do something fun with it, ;) Not a boring shawl, a fun shawl is lot better ;)
Hugs... :p
