I am a big big piece of S H I T

Yes, I am. TURD! Why?

Today is my wedding anniversary. I forgot! Well, WE forgot. I got to work and started typing a letter, I put the date at the top and I realized it was our anniversary. Quick call to the hubby and he forgot too! Romance is gone! Ahhhhhh!!!!!!! Nooooo!!!!!!!!! I had a good post too. But I will save that for later in the week.

What's that you say? How many years? 13. Thirteen wonderful years! I love you honey! He doesn't even read this.

So on to the knitting........

Wanna see my shawl?

And no it isn't done. I have about 100 more stitches to go. Why am I dragging my feet?

Hey, don't feel so bad....my dh of 10 plus years has NEVER remembered our anniversary. NEVER. Maybe it's because we went to the JP w/ 2 close friends (from LaFayette) and our nearly 3 month son...but NEVER??? I'm pretty sure he couldn't tell you the date, either, though he has some idea it is NEAR valentines day (well, 5 days prior...). The shawl is georgeous. Is that the arrggh from hello yarn? I got some mission falls 1824 in black and slate gray thinking to make a cap for the now nearly 11 year old son, loved the idea of fair isle skulls, but see it's a DK pattern...maybe I'll just use the skull motif and wing it.

Happy anniversary to you and Mr. Geek. Your shawl looks great and is that the same pattern as the pirate hat as you did before?

hey at least no one's feelings were hurt. right?

happy anniversary!

You're allowed to forget, as long as you both forgot. That is totally a rule. Happy Anniversary - the shawl looks amazing.

Your shawl is looking great, I had no idea you had so much done! I can't wait until you finish and block it!

Happy Anniversary! Maybe you've stayed together so long because you haven't been paying attention to how long it is... haha! :)

Happy Anniversary! Mine is Wednesday. I forgot ours last year and I felt awful. To make it even worse, hubby remembered. Ugh. I remembered it was coming up about a week before and then went and forgot anyway. What a dope.

It's alright, now you'll probably never forget again.

The shawl is gorgeous! Is it really as big as it looks? Cuz it looks really big!

This must mean you guys are so comfortable and in sync that something like a date on a calendar means little...or you're both really forgetful. Either way, I'd say its a good match! Happy Anniversary!

Loving the shawl

100 more stitches?! do it, woman! Also, happy anniversary :) I'm lucky to have an easy one to remember, the day after Halloween.

Hey geek girl...! YA GOTTA GET THAT SHAWL FINISHED FOR RHINEBECK! I'll be talkin' to ya soon.

Happy Anniversary! Now see that's what proves it's a good marriage, you don't need the excitement of a date to remind you of your love. Of course I just spent my 10-year anniversary with my hubby in the hospital as he underwent surgery for his cancer. Now there's a way to celebrate.

Well I'm right up there with you! Last year, we (He Who Wears Levis and I) forgot our nine year anniversary until VERY late in the evening. We vowed NOT to forget our ten year anniversary which was on the 12th of this month. Guess what. We both forgot it again. On the 13th, HWWL called me to wish me a happy anniversary. The phone went silent as I frantically tried to process what day it was and whether I was in SERIOUS trouble or not. Before I could figure it all out, HWWL said, "it was yesterday, and we BOTH forgot" which made me feel a little better but sheesh! So yeah. I'm right up there with you. And TEN years is supposed to be special! Augh!

I totally forgot about that pirate hat till now. And I showed Randy because I knew he would like it. And now he wants one. Shit. I have too many other projects. I told him he's going to have to wait a year.

But as long as no one's feeling were hurt... - such things can happen, we're all just humans! So, happy belated anniversary! And I totally adore your shawl, it looks stunning! Fantastic work!

Gorgeous! But do you have the yardage to finish? *lol* Happy anniversary, at least you both forgot. Maybe just shrug off the mishap as lucky 13?
