What happens when you want to do everything

It has been a while. Who really wants to see an inch of stockinette stitch on my sweater? Yeah, I didn't think so.

I did a bit of everything this weekend. I really just wanted to accomplish something. So this is what I did:

1down1togo_50.jpg

Got 1 sock done, and the other one started. I will show a bigger picture when I can model it. Hairy legs and all.

Did some dyeing. I hate this picture. It was nice and sunny all weekend. What do I do? Take the picture when it is nice and dark so you can't see the real colors. Left to right: Orange/Red, middle: is blue/grape, right: strawberry/pink lemonade. Love them all.

Did some knitin on my sweater too. Wow, it grew a whole couple of inches! sigh.......

Spinin. Yep. I did some. I have to keep on keepin on or else I get rusty.

Check this out! I actually inspired someone! I feel so proud! Go look at Sara's Jaywalkers! LOVE THEM!

I went and checked out the socks on Sara's blog and too funny. I have that same sock yarn, btu had forgotten about it till now. Maybe I will get around to doing something with it soon enough. And forgive me, cause I think we already discussed this, but are you doing the Magic Loop method for those socks? I just got my extra long addi...and I need to give it a shot.

The knitting is looking good...but being me I'm immediately drawn to the dyeing and spinning! I love the colors on your yarn - especially the grape/blue one. The spinning is sweet I love the colors.

Yikes! You are officially ahead of me on the Dublin Bay socks... I have not been very faithful to them!

I know what you mean about wanting to keep working on all the projects you have. At least you won't forget them!

Hurray for hairy legs! I'm not the only one! :-) Love the striping on the sweater. Keep up the good work and grueling stockinette!

I love the sock colors - and I think Dublin Bay might need to be one of my next sock projects ;o)

I love all of you stuff! How did you dye the middle skein so it is half and half?

Posted by: audrey at January 31, 2006 07:42 AM

I love the socks! And your yarn dying is just so sweet. I love dying with kool aid, you get to give flavors instead of colors ;)

So when are you going to start selling some of your yarn? I want some custom Beth homedye!

Posted by: Cathi at January 31, 2006 05:07 PM

I could have sworn I commented! I need to get my head screwed on right, I guess. *laughs*

Aww... thanks for linking me... that's so sweet! And you did inspire me... and you still are! I can't even begin to say how lovely every single one of your socks is.

That orange yarn is heavenly...

Ok, based on your suggestion, I want to add a cable to that sweater. But, how do you add a cable when knitting in the round? Should I do a mock cable like the scarf?
