Show and tell
Okay, here we go. As promised here is some more yarn I dyed over Thanksgiving. I have branched out and included Neon Food Coloring!
These are my favorites:

The green/purple is all food coloring. The Blue one I overdyed a skein that I thought came out bad. But I like how this turned out.
Below is all Kool Aid. I think I have exhausted all my possibilities. I am getting bored with the colors available.

I really need to try something new. I love playing with color! Any suggestions?
Over and out

Ok, so when are you going to produce something? Are you giving some of them away as presents?

OMG, I adore that top skein!
Have you tried the Wilton icing dyes at all? I guess they're not that different from food coloring, but they do have a wider range of shades, and I think they have black and brown. I used them for my dyeing and they came out very vibrant.

ooooh that top one is gorgeous!! They are all really pretty, I love how saturated the color is. How about something with reds, pinks & black?

Everything looks beautiful, I love the colors. Of course I'm a bit perplexed as to who would dye their food neon colors, well of course there is always cake but they have specific food dye for that.

I love the blue overdyed one. I'm not an expert on food dyes, by any stretch of the imagination, so I was surprised and a little curious about "neon food dye"... Wow. What would you eat that was neon? Doritos orange? :)

Exhaused? How can you be exhaused!?!?! So many colors to be played with! Love the neon.

Ooh...the idea of creating my own colors....well, it just overwhelms me :/
Looks good though.

Oh my gosh, Beth... the top skein is heavenly!

Great looking yarn!
I've done a lot of dyeing with Kool-Aid but never with food dye. Do you set the color as you do with Kool-Aid or is it a different process (ie:add vinegar)?

yummy, the first is my favourite. Have you tried dyeing with vegetables? Not that i've tried it myself but it could be interesting.

Oooh - they are pretty! I'm really drawn to the turquoise one because that's my favourite colour but I'm also loving the neon mix!

BETH! Quit your job and spin and dye full time. Seriously. YOU ARE AWESOME!

Those are all very nice, I love the blue one. Have you thought about buying a lanaset dye kit? I promise you they are every bit as easy as kool aid and the colors you get are fantastic! I know a great place to get then...email me!

You've had much better success at Koolaid than me! And I totally love the food colouring skeins... beautiful :)

I can see why you'd get bored with the Kool Aid. That's why I went with the Wilson food coloring, more colors, but if you are really getting into it, then I'd looking into the professional dyes.
