Good News! »»

Yeah, so I was gonna post yesterday but...
As Lee Ann so nicely puts it: A Shit Fairy appeared to me yesterday. I had a bit of a trying day. Perhaps not like Lee Ann or even Pegi. Wanna know what happened? First I had a flat tire. Which I knew about all weekend and didn't take care of. Fix a flat is your friend. On the way to the garage to get 4, yes 4 new tires (they weren't all flat - just 1) I, yes I got into my first accident where I, yes I was at fault. Not a biggy. I may have slightly bumped into the guy ahead of me. No one hurt and no damage to speak off. Tell that to the guy I hit. He had to call the police. SIGH..........
Anyway........
I figured if I made my son model my shrug the least I could do is make him a pair of socks. He loves them

He really doesn't look this way all the time. Here they are not on his feet

Yep, its the same yarn I made that little mini sweater out of. Speaking of mini sweater, I couldn't make that with out making this

Looks to me like I need to work on my short row heel. There are many many holes. Cute none the less.
Next up tomorrow: My hand dyed yarn.
PS: Are there any good yarn stores in Buffalo New York? I am going there this weekend and could use some help finding some.
Over and out.

Sorry to hear about your car woes. Accidents are so stressful no matter how small.
Wow, another pair of socks! You are such a prolific knitter. (Hey, that should be on a tee shirt ... "PROLIFIC KNITTER" ... or a bumper sticker ... "PROLIFIC KNITTER ON BOARD" ... lol yeah, right. Anyway, your son is such a cutie and so good of him to model Mom's stuff.
Now as for yarn shoppes in the Buffalo area ... my vote is for the Wooly Lamb in East Aurora. Awesome shop and the village of East Aurora is so quaint. Have fun enhancing your stash!

Well I'm thinking now you need a mini scarf, mittens, hat, and felted purse to go with all that mini stuff. Oh and a mini shawl. It's the crazy world of miniature.

Ah yes, we all must suffer the Shit Fairy now and then. Awesome socks though - so very matchy - I can never pull that off.

Mini things everywhere! Sorry to hear about your accident, luckily no one was hurt and nothing was damaged. Hopefully the guy will calm down a bit!

I'm a Buffalo knitter and wanted to give you a few places to try: (1) Elmwood Yarn Shop on Hertel Ave (2) Embraceable Ewe in Hamburg (3) The Wooly Lamb in East Aurora (4) Karma Knitting in Williamsville. These last three are actually in the 'burbs so you may need a little more effort in getting there, but what's a little driving to get to yarn? Happy shopping!

Finally got a chance to check out your blog. You are the cutest, coolest thing since Kool Aid dyed yarn, even when the shitfairy rains on you! (Ok, little geek is pretty damn cute and cool, too.)
