Why hasn't anyone blogged about this?
"Oh, there you are, Albus," he said. "You've been a very long time. Upset stomach?"
"No, I was merely reading the Muggle magazines," said Dumbledore. "I do love knitting patterns......"
From Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling
I laughed out loud when I read that! And I know a few of you knitters are reading or have read this! Dumbledore has a point. Us Muggles have great knitting patterns

Very pretty book with very basic patterns. I have already started the beret! I just hope I have enough yarn.....

Darn. Diana said exactly what I wanted to say. I LOVE the colors. What yarn are you using?

I too laughed when I read that part of Harry Potter. We muggles do have some amazing patterns, like the one you've got here, but the Harry Potter films have some great knits too!

I do remember that quote! I like your new project!

I had to giggle at that one myself! And oh how I wish that once in a while I could bewitch my needles like Hermione and let my knitting finish itself!
JK must be a fan of the fiber arts!

I laughed out loud when I read that part too. Also, I was re-reading the first one (I'm such a geek, I'm starting from the beginning again) and in one scene Hagrid is knitting somewhere with Harry in the very beginning. That was pretty funny too!
That beret is going to be cute!

When I read that passage, I actually put the book aside for a minute to blog about it! Of course, I got right back to reading (amazing that something could actually tear me away from knitting...)

Hey, sistah! Feeling better now? I hope those meds kicked in quickly... I'm feeling your pain.
I just caught up on your posts and loved it when you were walking on Rodeo Drive, happy that your boobs are real. :)
Love your beret colors.

I'm gonna be bookmarking your site, if you don't mind. I decided I wanted to learn to knit, so I think I'll really enjoy coming here for inspiration. My first task... a scarf, LOL! If I knit a fabulous scarf then of COURSE I'll have to get a fabulous pea coat this winter to go with it!

Hi! Just found your blog. I'm a Dumbledore woman and knitter (obviously) myself, so I loved that passage too. Have you seen this blog listed below? Incidentally, that's a different Laura who knits and loves Potter. :) Your WIPs look fantastic, can't wait to see how they turn out!
