Whoa, it's been a while.

So, did every one have a nice holiday weekend? I hope so. I know I did. I did A LOT this weekend. Saw the movie War of the Worlds (I liked it) went putt putt golfing (it was hot and I suck). We went to the zoo to see the new penguin exhibit (they were brown, not black) Also I managed to squeeze in a little knitting and crocheting! I don't know what I was thinking, but I started another sock.

I had this yarn for a while and well, I really enjoyed making the last pair that I cast on for these! A girl can never have enough socks or socks on the needles!

July is also the month that one of my favorite local yarn stores has their sale. 20% off all in stock yarns and I had an additional 10% off postcard! So, well, um....... I bought some yarn.

I have been eyeballin this stuff for a while now. Isn't it purdy?

I also got some Jo Sharp Cotton DK. I started this crochet bag

Love this color! It is like a putty brown color. Oh and I have much more than this done on the bag. In fact I am almost done. I like this bag. A LOT.

Picked up the new Mary Timony cd. Muy Bueno!

... and some beautiful yarn it is! I like that bag!

Your socks look grand! I am making my first pair EVER right now--so I have a whole new appreciation :)

I love that Mountain Colors sock yarn! I make most of my socks from that and they turn out fantastic! It looks like you've definitely caught sock fever!

Gorgeous color for the crochet bag! I am interested to see how yours turns out. I was rethinking my finished one recently because the thing is HUGE (like below knee-level) once it has anything of weight in it.

Lovely things! The Mountain Colors yarn is yummy.

We saw War of the Worlds the other night and it was pretty spectacular. I don't usually like blockbuster action flicks, but this one had me on the edge of my seat.

great great bag!! what's that book that you are getting the crochet pattern from? i'm always looking for hip crochet patterns.

also, love the self-striping sock yarn. reminds me of rainbow sherbert.

I'm loving that bag! I just saw someone else knit one up, and it came out quite cute :). More and more, I like brown knits, although I don't like brown against my skin. Maybe it's time for a change? :)

socks are so important! so it's an obligation to have some on the needles at all times ... love the yarn you got and that bag is great.

All of your new projects look great.

What yarn are you using for the new socks?

And don't you want to share the name of your LYS? Do they do mail order? hint hint

I love Mountain Colors yarns. So soft and yummy.

Oh, how fun! I am in the middle of the Bonbon pattern from that book... and what do ya know, it's brown too! I'm excited to see your bag finished and what you thought of the pattern.

Is that Soho Cotton? What Mountain Colors did you buy? More detail is required.

I love stripey socks! And I'm just learning the basic pattern on two circulars myself... it is SO much nicer than using dpns.
