When the weather's hot and sticky..........

You know what that means don't you? Come on get your mind out of the gutter. It means that I finished my socks!

And you thought it was that funny little rhyme didn't you? No? You say you have never heard of that rhyme? Well I may tell it to you tomorrow. If you want to hear the rest that is.

I also have a "one skein wonder" of my own in process, but it isn't the one everyone is making, oh no, but I believe that there must have been a buzz when this scarf was published!

Yes! It is the Leaf Cravat by Teva Durham! I know, I know, I am very slow. But before I had this blog, I wanted to make it. How long has this pattern been out? 2-3 years? I love this pattern. I am hoping it will only take 1 skein because that is all I have in this color.

Here is a shot I took on the front steps at my house. I used the one above because the color of the yarn is the same color as cement.

Duh.

Wahoo! Your socks look great! I like the colorway!

Finish the rhyme. Does it have anything to do with big feet? ;-)

Wow, awesome socks. Though from that picture the feet look abnormally long.

And the one skein wonder you're working on is excellent! How's the spinning going?

I am knitting the same Teva Durham scarf!! IK summer 2000. It's awsome!!! I'm glad to see someone else's progress....is it just me or does it feel like it takes forever to knit up? I'm only through the second "body" repeat. Can't wait to see what yours looks like done!

That scarf is AWESOME! Love love love Teva Durham.

I knit this for a girlfriend this spring. It is lovely. Your choice of yarn is far better than mine. I'm a new "lace" knitter too, so it took patience and a lot of ripping out. Hey, I'm not affraid to rip out anything now.
I would like to knit this piece with a variegated yarn of green/brown/cream, wouldn't it look like a snake? My nieces would appreciate it.

I love how everything goes in spurts on blogland. The latest? One Skein Wonder. I plan on starting mine...as soon as I get a little bit of reading and stitching done :)

Lovely! I just purchased that scarf pattern online and the yarn to go with it!

I love the scarf. I made one in January in Jo Sharp Silkroad Tweed, heather green. I love the feel and look of it in person, it doesn't take a good pic due to it's dark colors (at least in the house in mid winter).

Good knitting to you...

Great socks! Dying to hear the rest of the peom. Glad you had a good time in NY ... although it would have been better if you WORE SOCKS!
