So is it hot enough for ya?
Any one living in the Northeast of the United States will agree with me. Perhaps it's just hot everywhere! Those of you who know me well, know I like to say "It's as hot as a dog's ass". Crude, yes, but it really is! Or maybe as hot as an alpaca's ass

This beast actually enjoyed this! See for yourself

Yes, it was hot. And I spent yesterday afternoon under a tent learning how to spin. ON MY SPINNING WHEEL!!! Yipieeeeee!!!!! This woman is my hero. Her name is Amy and she is wonderful! Let's hear it for Amy!!!!

I went to a "Spin In" with Erin and her Mom on Sunday. Did I mention that it was hot? It was hot. But I got the hang of it. I produced some yarn. It's not perfect, but I think it's the prettiest, most beautiful thing I have seen in a long time

Is this bunny not the cutest? I am not sure if he is an angora rabbit, but he was still cute.

Do you think he was hot? Maybe it's a girl.
Now this guy looks like he just wants to say "Party on dude"

Of course I couldn't leave without buying anything. This is me, I buy stuff. Too much stuff. But it sure is purty

I put the hedge clippers (I spelled it wrong before) next to the bag so you would see how much is a 1/2 lb. of fiber. Yummy.
My husband took this next picture of me spinning, just so you could see that I am doing it. I look like such a hippie! (I'm so not)

Finally I leave you with another sock. I have started another sock! Have you not been listening? It's HOT! (I hope I don't get into trouble with Paris Hilton) It's the only thing I can stand to have on my lap at this time! Even spinning wool was uncomfortable.

I am off to the Big Apple for a couple of days!

Yeah, it was hot... really hot! But look at you go with your spinning! Woohoo! Excellent sock too, I love the way it's knitting up.
Have fun in New York!

Uhmmm...it actually *is* a little warm here today. It's maybe 80 degrees :/ I know, I know...that's not that hot, but thats warm for SF.
Love the sock yarn...what kind is it?

The yarn you spun is beautiful. Is it spun of alpaca fibre? The alpaca look like goofy characters once they are sheared, with their hair mops on the heads and their haunches left unsheared. It really makes their look.
Is it worth spinning wool in the hot heat? Seems like a good time.

Heh. That dreadlocked creature cracked me up!! Dude.
Have a great time in NYC!! :)

Wow, your first handspun! I have similar pictures posted somewhere on my blog...I was just so pleased with myself, hee, hee. Anyhow, it seems like you had a great weekend, and I must admit that you are looking very hippie-esque in the spinning photo. Also I understand the sock thing. I put aside my big projects and started a pair of socks a couple days ago, the only thing I can handle in the Chicago heat.

are you in ny for business or pleasure? have fun either way...oh i luv your spun wool and love the color of your new sock...

Wait. You're not a hippie with your rag-a-muffin hair and your tye dyed shirt and spinning???? BAWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
It's nice and cool here. I think it's supposed to get into the 70s today. And wait again! We have no humidity. Did I already say BAWAHAHAHAHAHAHA?

Yes, it's HOT here in Eastern PA. I only need to go outside for 5 minutes before I run for cover. And then I fall asleep inside!
Adorable bunny and alpaca. Don't alpaca look like they should be in a rock band?
Socks are good. Knit enough and you don't have to wear the same pair for months!

I'm in the Northeast too, and today (6/16, cold and rainy) I'm wishing to have that heat wave back!
