I broke down,
I did, I couldn't stand it any more, I had to place an order with Knit Picks. Who can resist the lure of free shipping with an order of $30 or more? I certainly couldn't

sigh............... just what I need. More yarn. More yarn to dye with Kool-Aide!!!!!! Oh, and I bought this too

This book is by the same gal as the socks on 2 circulars! This is a cool book. However, I now have to get Addi Turbo's that are a million feet long.
What is the big deal about Addi Turbo's? I am serious, I don't own any, but I hear about them every where. Are they really that sexy? Is this now going to be my new obsession?
Thanks.

I couldn't live without my Addi Turbos. They aren't for everyone, granted, but I love them for everything, wool, socks, lace. Yes I said lace, they are slippery then heck but the joins are wonderful, no catching, no pushing the yarn over the joins, just beautiful slip sliding away.
Plus I like how they feel in my hands they are cool and have a nice sound, it's a quiet sound though so don't worry about that, I like my wood and bamboo too, but I'm completely 100% in love with Addi Turbos.

Hi! Are you going to make the basket that's at 6 o'clock on the cover? That looks pretty cool.
I like the colors that you picked!!!
Behave!

Yes...you MUST have the Addis. They're definitely my favorites. I learned to knit on Addis and nothing else is quite the same. I just bought that book, too, but haven't gotten around to trying the cast on yet!

you know beth, I was thinking the same thing about the Addi's, I really was. Then I got some just about a week ago. They do make a difference. But It's because I knit continental, and I have a feeling it has to do with that. Maybe if you are a throw-er, the slippery-ness of the Addis may get in the way. But what do I know?
I just know that if you're knitting on a smaller needle (I only have 2's and 3's) they do help...

you really are obsessed aren't you....?
i thought maybe you bought the book, cause the kitty looks like Smudge? how r u feeling?

I use Addi Turbos and they're great, except when you use them like crazy and the nickel plating starts wearing off. I've now become obsessed with rosewood needles. They're the best!

I must be the only one in the world that doesn't like Addis. They are so slippery that I end up clenching my knitting tightly to keep the stitches from leaping away from me...which makes my hands cramp up. Besides, the metal-on-metal noise makes my teeth hurt.

Greetings from Sweden!
Denise knitting needles are much much better for knitting Möbius! Otehrwise you need a zillion different circulars, all with different length.
Just my 2 cents ;-)

This is one of the best books I have seen in a long time. I have had the first and just got the second. Love it and I know you will love it.

I absolutely HATE addi's. I made the mistake of buying into all the hype about them. I went and ordered $125 worth of them. When I got them I realized I had ordered them from a company that did not allow returns! I ended up selling them all on ebay just to get rid of them.
I don't like them because the tips are way too dull for my taste and I found they were too slippery. I found another brand called Inox Express and they are similar to Addi's in that the cord is still extremeley flexible but the points are sharp enough for me. My projects don't fall off them like with addi's and they are about HALF the price. Don't waste your money on the Addi's.
