So I am not crazy just anal
Yes, I am glad that's settled. But you haven't seen my UFO's! That could be another entry! In keeping with my "anal" tendancies, I purchased over the weekend a book shelf to help me get organized.

What this will do for me is:
1) Enable me to buy more books (and that's bad?)
2) Enable me to buy more crap (yes that's bad)
3) Never dust this piece of furniture
Yes, my room is getting over crowded. The little table you see to the left was in it's place and it had a stack of books on it that was threatening to topple at any moment.
sigh.........
Never one to not follow a trend, I have decide to jump on the band wagon and make a button hole bag. This is fun! I actually haven't gotten to the fun part of felting it yet, but I know it will be fun

I am going to finish it up with the turquoise color you see above the bag. I love Lamb's Pride yarn. It is sooo sooo soft.
I have done a magazine swap with Catriona at Little Robot. She sent me this and I am sending her BUST.

This magazine is pretty good! And I got a free set of knitting needles. Thanks Catriona!
Finally, I received the Lion Brand Newsletter in my e-mail box today. It really made me laugh. I think they are getting desperate with the Fun Fur. They have even decided to throw a contest out there! You can read about it here. I don't think it is moving in the stores so they want you to help them design something. What do you think, should I give it a go?

I got the newsletter too, and gosh, I wonder if they realize that not everyone in the world likes Fun Fur! It comes it who knows how many awful colors as is, but I highly doubt we need to know how to make just the right purple.

Absolutely. Submit something outrageous! WIN THAT CONTEST!

I love your book shelf! Keep me posted on your book orders!!

That's a kitschy little bag, isn't it? I don't like felting with Lamb's Pride, however.
Now, as for the fun fur contest, don't even! I mean, how can you say that you are a knitter against fun fur and then design for it? Sheesh woman! Go splash cold water on your face and then come back here and tell us all it was your little joke.

When I read that newsletter I just sat there in disbelief. Do they honestly think they need more colors of Fun Fur? I seriously considered writing them a letter telling them that they should drop the Fun Fur & support Cotton-Ease a bit more, but then I remembered that I already did that and it was futile.
If you designed something for them it would have to be completely outrageous & ugly: that's what they love when it comes to Fun Fur designs.

I have sent you my submission for a new Fun Fur design. Enjoy!

You remind me why I don't subscribe to the Lion Brand newsletter... yes, they make the Fun Fur.

Actually, I was talking to a worker at JoAnn and se said that they can't keep the stuff in stock... Lion Brand is pushing it so hard because there really is a demand for it in some regions... not sure why. Actually, I heard of a really cute Fun Fur pattern (gasp! I know...) to make a furry bathmat that looks like grass. Don't you think that is a *little* bit cute? :)

I love getting the Lion Brand newsletter because it always makes me laugh and a free laugh is wonderful. I also cruise the Berrocco site for hilarious patterns when I need a good laugh. They've got some nice ones but some are laugh out loud funny.
