Sad News.........

I have been struggling on whether I wanted to share this with everyone and finally decided that I should.

Thurston - 2001-2005 (rip)

Thurston was hit by a car last Friday night and is no longer with us. I have been away from blogging this week because I am trying to deal with this. I am crying as I type this!

He would have been 4 years old. But I have a great bunch of internet friends who already know about what happened and my friends that I see all the time, have been very supportive. THANKS!

I am remembering all the goofy things he did, like stare at me while I ate. Hoping that just one piece of food would fall off my fork and land on the floor. (it usually did) Or how we liked to play hide and seek in the morning. He hated the sound of a plastic bag rattling.

But as they say, time heals all wounds and it does. It's getting better every day.

I'm so sorry about Thurston. It is so hard to lose a pet. Your post is a nice tribute to him! Hang in there!

I'm so sorry to hear about your Thurston. What a great name for a great guy....I'm sure Sadie would say the same, even though she despises cats as much as squirrels.

i am so sorry to hear about thurston. pets are such an important part of our lives - it is hard to think that something might happen to them. you just always expect them to be there.

sending you hugs.

I'm so sorry for you loss, he was a beautiful kitty. I think losing a pet is almost more difficult then losing a human because we are their caretakers, they depend on us, even a cat.

awwww. I'm so sorry to hear about your little kitty :( It's always sad when a pet dies, but when it's such an UNTIMELY death, it makes it THAT much harder :( take care...

I'm sorry you had to lose your cat, it's a lot more difficult than it seems to lose your pet. One of my cats actually got hit by a car a couple years ago, and died on the spot. I was in Japan at the time, but I cried as soon as I found out. RIP Thurston.
