Branching Out
Thank you all for your warm wishes and hugs my way for Thurston, it is much appreciated! I have decided I need to add a new entry today, because I can't look at that picture every time I open up this blog page! So you get 2 entries in one day.
I finished Branching Out from Knitty!

Here is a detail

I used the yarn my secret pal sent me. I will post on Monday the name of the yarn. I love this! It's for me. Still needs a good blocking though
No Tammy isn't finished yet. Sigh...........

Glad you did another entry. I was so sad to hear your news that I kept checking back to see an update. I just lost my Lois (cat) of more than 10 years a few months ago to cancer...so I get really sad when I see other sweet pets pass.
I love your branching out. I have almost a whole skein of Cherry Tree Hill Glitter Alpaca. Don't know if I have enough. I tried to do some crochet with it but screwed it up and that stuff does not rip out well. That's why I don't have a full skein...

I'm SO sorry to hear about your kitty! The last kitty I had got hit by a car and it makes me so sad to hear about other people's pets dying. You just have to remember that you gave Thurston a good home and made his 4 years happy ones.
Again, I'm so sorry. I hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your cat, Thurston. I hope you are well. I lost my cat, Gizmo, last year and I know how devastating it is to lose someone you love so much. I still think of her and miss her often, but things do ease over time. I know you will feel better if you think of all the good time you did get to have together. I'm sure you gave Thurston a wonderful life while he was with you, and he will always be cherished in your memories.
Completing the Branching Out scarf must help you feel better, though - it's lovely! The colour is devine. Don't worry about hurrying to finish Tammy and such... you deserve to be kind to yourself and take a break.
Once again, I am sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you are feeling better.

Oh, it's so sad to hear about a dear pet that has died. They leave such a whole in our lives when we no longer have their warm snuggliness around to make us feel at home. Hope you feel better soon.
And the scarf - it's just beautiful.

Hi. I am (very) beginner knitter and tried this pattern out. I am a bit confused however. If I cast on 25 stitches, I don't seem to have enough to work the first row. Even if I add 3K to each end, it is still not enough as the ssk and 2tog decrease the number of stitches that I have to work with. Could you take a moment to explain please? Thanks..I can be reached by email: aphotino@dal.ca.

Three phrases should be among the most common in our daily usage. They are: Thank you, I am grateful and I appreciate.
