Phew
Sorry, I have been away so long! Long story and I have to keep this quick.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR WELL WISHES ABOUT MY SILLY CAT!
I know, I know, he isn't silly! That really means a lot that so many cared! I have been busy knitting, but my internet connection is sketchy. So I will be blogging sporatically until I can get it fixed.
Here is a thought to put out there to you all.
Did any one pick up the Knit Wit book by Amy at Knitty.com?
What do you all think?
I was dissappointed! I really really like the site, but I wasn't expecting to see 1/2 the patterns from the site in the book. I am all for supporting the contributors of the book. But I thought maybe there would be some surprise designs from the wonderful bloggers we all check out every day.
Oh well that is my rant.
Sorry to anyone who liked it but I just didn't.

Hey there, I just read about you on your 'click the couch' link and it says you live in CNY...Me too! By the way, if you love knitting like I do you should join the Syracuse Knitting Meetup (we're trying to come up with a better name!) We meet in Armory Square every Saturday and just knit, it's great. If you go to Meetup.com you can find us there!
P.S. Happy to hear your cat came home!

Hi Beth! Glad to see you back :) I hope things clear up with the internet connection... it is funny how a silly internet cable is like a lifeline (well at least in my case... I feel so out of touch without the internet!)
I think we already talked about the KnitWit book... but I totally agree with you... disappointing. Too bad! It had so much potential!
Have a great weekend :)

I totally agree with you about Knit Wit - I put the book on hold at my local Borders and picked it up after work - I opened it up in the car, flipped through it, and realized it was the same goddam patterns from Knitty's website. I returned the book at another Borders on my way home. How annoying. I was looking forward to a cute new knitting book. ;-R

I looked at KnitWit yesterday at Barnes and Noble and was also surprised to see so many patterns from the site. I ended up buying another book instead. Jane

I looked at KnitWit yesterday at Chapters and I was surprised to see so many patterns were copied directly from Knitty.com. There were some cute new patterns, however with the bulk of it being from knitty.com, I decided to purchase another book instead.

Totally agree with you about Knit Wit, not happy with the lack of new patterns. Why buy the book when you get get the patterns for free?
