I forgot to mention
That I bought this book as well on my shopping spree
I really like this book A LOT
I bought it because I want to make this
But how many poncho's can a gal have? The yarn to make it is wicked expensive too. (sniffle sniffle) While I was in the yarn store (which I love) the girl who works there (which I don't like) made a comment to me and I will share it with you:
Me: I have been really into making poncho's lately. I love them
Her: Pocho's are the lazy knitter's sweater
Can you believe that? I wish I had something smart to say back but, I wasn't feeling too funny or smart. Don't like that girl. But I do like that store. They are the only ones around who have Rowan yarns. I love Rowan yarns. And their sale bin is amazing. ($3.00 a skein!)
Screw her.

heh, funny girl! it's so sad, i have to laugh.
i was getting some yarn for a cardi earlier this summer and the (very young) sales girl in the big yarn shop exclaimed: "OH MY GOD! YOU CAN ACTUALLY KNIT?"
i love the poncho! you can never have too many ponchos! go, girl!

Heyyyyy, I love ponchos too. And I resent that. I am not a lazy knitter. Phhhht. We just have style, huh? LOL! :)

Who cares what that stupid girl says... she obviously has some problems. This new Rowan book does look super. That poncho you showed was gorgeous! Is it knit or crochet?

I think there's one in every yarn store. These are the same people who can't for the life of themselves understand when you can't afford enough Iro for a floor length cardigan or who think that people only knit with wool so that they don't have to frog angora.
Your poncho is very fetching.

grrrr... take her out back and kick her a$$ .. there is no such thing as a lazy knitter, all knitting requires time and energy... if you make 5 ponchos in the time another knitter is making one sweater, what would that be?? i run into so much "catty" behavior in yarn stores... i dont get it...

My local Rowan stockist treats customers like she is doing them a favour. Hence I've given up shopping there. I think your poncho is going to look fantastic!
