New Music - Hooray!
I bought a couple of cd's this weekend. The new "Iron & Wine" and "Jem". I like both, but I am glad that I bought Jem used. She is a bit hip hoppy for me, but I like the smoothness of her voice. Iron & Wine is very good. If you like Nick Drake and Simon and Garfunkle you will like this. They are on Sub Pop too. I was supposed to go see a band this weekend but that fell through. Ah well.

love der bloggen.
iron and wine record is good. saw them live in buffalo a while ago and it was the most awful thing i've seen in my life. HIPPIE hippie hippie bullshit. so hateable. that's why i was surprised that i liked their record. it shows how a little low fi can go a long way and add mystique. with out the tape hiss they are basically Jamie Notarthomas.
